I was born in India and raised in six cities all across the country. I’ve since lived in the United States, Israel and Germany. I drew my first comic (albeit entirely plagiarised) at the age of six and wrote my first original story not long after that. I’m intrigued by the ways in which art and writing can be utilised to explore various aspects of culture, society and the human condition.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, and a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. In graduate school, my primary focus was gender, development, global health, and Middle Eastern studies. I also enrolled in art and creative writing courses at DU, often using them to augment my research work.
I’ve worked in the fields of journalism, publishing and the nonprofit sector in Colorado, Jerusalem, Costa Rica, Chennai and New Delhi. My work has been featured on New Internationalist, The Hindu, Indian Cultural Forum, among other publications. I currently live in New Delhi.
